Piston Seals
Piston seals, also known as piston rings, are used as fluid seal in hydraulic cylinders. Piston seals are located in the cylinder head and seal against the cylinder wall (bore). Rod Seals

Scrapers or wipers scrape dirt, foreign particles, chips and moisture from the rod as it is retracted into the cylinder.
